Golfing guide

What every golfer should know before teeing off at Johor Golf & Country Club.

Hours & booking

  • The course is open daily 0700–1900 (Monday from 1400).
  • Book your slot up to 7 days in advance.
  • Proceed to the tee box and report to the course starter on duty 10 minutes before your tee-off time.

Handicap & insurance

  • Only golfers with a valid handicap may play: men 24, women 36.
  • Golfer insurance of RM 5.40 per golfer is compulsory.

Guests

  • A member may introduce a maximum of 3 guests at a time.
  • The member must play with the guests in the same flight and is responsible for their conduct.
  • A caddy is compulsory for guests and visitors, even when the guest shares the member’s buggy.

Weekends & public holidays

  • Minimum 3 golfers per flight.
  • 9 holes may only be played after 4.30pm.
  • Trolley or walking only on Sunday.

Attire

As shown in the Club’s Golfing Guide.

Acceptable

  • Collared golf shirt
  • Tailored shorts or trousers
  • Golf shoes with socks
  • Soft spikes only

Unacceptable

  • Round-neck T-shirts
  • Denim
  • Football or beach shorts
  • Sandals
  • Metal spikes

If you are unsure whether an item of clothing is acceptable, please ask the Club office.

Rain check

  • No rain check for 9 holes once teed off.
  • 18-hole golfers are eligible for 9 holes only once teed off at the first tee.

Proficiency Certificate holders

  • Tee-off Tuesday to Friday, AM or PM, for Club members only. Guests and visitors holding a Proficiency Certificate from another club may not play.
  • Not allowed on competition days or public holidays.
  • A maximum of 2 P.C. holders in any one flight.
  • A P.C. holder must be accompanied by a member.
  • P.C. holders must carry their Proficiency Certificate while playing.
